On a brisk September morning Carl,
his roommate Brad, and friend David set out at 5:30 am to climb Pyramid
Peak. Pyramid Peak located about 12 miles from Aspen is 14,018 feet high
and is the 47th highest mountain in Colorado and 78th
highest in the world.

As Carl gets closer and closer to the summit it gets
increasingly steeper and more of a workout. |

Keeping one hand on
the rock face and both eyes on the ledge, Carl and David carefully made
their way up and up. |

Carl and Brad happily made it to the summit with good
weather…a little early season snow decided to fall while at 14,000 feet.

|
This trip started around 5:30 a.m. and finished
around 3 p.m. They reached the top at around 11, had great weather the
whole trip, and thankfully no injuries reported. Carl said it was a
great start to his Aspen experience! |
