The America’s Uphill is a longtime Aspen favorite that attracts hundreds of racers each year. The race brings together snowshoers, runners, Nordic skiers, telemark skiers, and Randonee skiers for a 2.5 mile and 3,000’+ vertical climb up Aspen Mountain. The 2020 America’s Uphill

****The date for America’s Uphill has been set  – the information below is for the 2019 event and will be updated in early January 2020. ****

2019 RACE CANCELLATION – unfortunately America’s Uphill had to be cancelled for 2019 due to avalanche danger and control work along the race course. The Aspen Skiing Company and Aspen Mountain Patrol made the decision based on safety concerns due to an additional 13″ of snow received mid mountain the night before and morning of the race.  The Aspen Sk Co and Aspen Mtn Patrol worked extremely hard to make the race happen but the weather did not cooperate. We will be offering a refund for the race fee or a donation to ACES or the Aspen Mountain Ski Patrol. Check your email for more information. We hope to see you next year.

This year’s race helps benefit the Aspen Center For Environmental Studies Children’s Environmental Education programs. March is ACES Education Fund Drive Month. A portion of each registration will be donated plus you will have the option to give a little bit to ACES when you register for the event. If you donate an additional $25 or more, receive a free 50th Anniversary ACES Buff.
