Weekly Masters Cross Country Program

The weekly Masters Program will begin December 10 and continue for 12 weeks, with the exception of Christmas & New Years weeks. Technique will alter between skate and classic. Specific curriculum will vary by week but will include skate and classic techniques for different terrain, drills, endurance training, race training and more. Our masters instructors include Greg Bodkins, Lina Sutro, Mark Pearson and Andre Wille.

Masters Cost Per Session: $30 (or $100 for 4-punch pass).
Schedule: Schedule for entire season still to be determined. The schedule after the holidays will consist mostly of Wednesdays, but hours may vary from lunchtime (12-1:30pm) to late afternoon (4pm).

Greg Bodkins: Skate technique. Welcome back everyone! We're looking to shake off the cobwebs and get our skating muscles activated. Our focus will be on moving from dryland training to the snow and a few fundamentals as we do so. We will also look at individual goals for the season and discuss some long-term training plans

Lina Sutro: Skate technique - changed from classic due to snow conditions. Emphasis will be on “getting your skate legs back! Will focus on stance, weight transfer and drills for balance and timing.”

Lina Sutro: Skate at Aspen High School tracks next to AVSC Clubhouse. We will work on balance drills, V1 and V2 technique and some no-pole drills.

Mark Joseph: Skate technique at the Aspen Cross Country Center. Focus will be on poliing for the different skate techniques. If the new snow does not cooperate, we will contact you with any updates on Wednesday morning.
