Join us Thursday, March 6th, at 7 PM in the Wheeler Opera House for an evening of outdoor entertainment, culture, and cinema.
For decades we've enjoyed sharing mountain films and culture with our community. This year's program is filled with stories that inspire adventure, exploration, and stewardship of our natural world. Including the film 2 Legs Is 2 Easy, a film made by Roaring Fork Valley filmmaker Tamara Susa. The film is about Steve Karczewski, also a Roaring Fork Valley local, born with bone cancer in his left leg and has never known what it is like to have two legs, but that hasn’t prevented him from doing anything and everything he’s ever wanted as an outdoor athlete.
We'll have a prize giveaway loaded with outdoor goodies and gifts.
We'll see you at the Wheeler!
Immediately following the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival in November, a selection of the top films submitted to the Festival go on a tour around the world. Host organizations in each tour location choose a program that reflects the interests of their community, creating a unique celebration of adventure and adventurers at each stop.
The Ute Mountaineer has proudly hosted the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour in Aspen since 1997.
