Summit for Life: Remembering Robbie Wade and Honoring His Gift of Life

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Robbie Wade’s passing. An adventurer, brother, and son - Robbie’s story and spirit carry on through his gift of life as an organ donor. 

After the experience of losing Robbie and learning of the lives he impacted by choosing to be an organ donor, Robbie's father and Ute Mountaineer Founder Bob Wade joined the Chris Klug Foundation as a board member. CKF is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting organ and tissue donation, and improving the quality of life for those touched by organ donation. To this day, Bob works to carry forward the message of giving life and honoring Robbie’s legacy.

Summit for Life is an event dedicated to bringing awareness to organ donation and celebrating donors and recipients. This nighttime uphill race on Aspen Mountain is known as the ‘Kickoff to Winter!’ and will take place on December 3rd this year.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Robbie’s gift of life, the Wade Family and the Ute Mountaineer have named their Summit for Life team, Robbie’s Crew. We encourage you to celebrate Robbie's gift by joining his crew to participate in Summit for Life or donating through a team member.
