Last week, we were thrilled to embark on our bi-annual Spring Staff Trip! After a long Winter, the two-day Spring hut trip is exactly what we needed to close out the season. It’s a time for us to pause, reflect, and celebrate our amazing staff and all of their hard work. We couldn't do what we do without them. We also love the opportunity to bring Ute Mountaineer and Neptune Mountaineering employees together - this Spring was one for the books!
These trips date back to our stores’ humble beginnings in the 1970s and while they have evolved over the years, the goal remains the same - bring us closer together and spend time in the outdoors spaces that we love. Every year the legacy of the staff trip grows, along with the sense of continuity and connection that comes from sharing this experience with our coworkers, some of whom have been with us since the beginning.

From touring in the mountains to cozying up in the hut at night, we had an absolute blast. It’s an incredible time for us to disconnect from the noise of everyday life, reconnect with our natural world, and remind ourselves why we are in this business. The smiles, stories, and shenanigans are just the icing on the cake.
We headed home feeling recharged and grateful. The staff trip is the embodiment of our business’ mission. We're not just selling outdoor gear; we're a resource to empower people to get outside and explore. We're thankful for our employees, our customers, and the mountains in our backyard, and we can't wait for the next one!
