Our friends over at Salewa took our staff on the ultimate product testing endeavor to put their gear to the test in our backyard. Needless to say, we were thrilled to hit the trails and see how Salewa’s gear performs.
All decked out in Salewa from head to toe, we got an early morning start on the Ute trail to hike to the top of Aspen Mountain. We stuffed our necessities into Salewa’s Ortles Climb 25L - perfect for a day trip - and were on our way. With approximately 3 miles and 3000 feet of elevation gain, the hike proved to be the perfect challenge. Each staff tested a pair of Salewa hikers from the Pedroc Airs to the Alp Mate Hiking boots, all of which provided incredible grip and traction on each switchback, making the ascent a breeze.
Once we reached the top of Aspen Mountain, the panoramics left us in awe, but the morning breeze definitely sent a shiver down our spines. Thankfully, we were well-prepared with a variety of Salewa Layers, including the Pedroc PTX Ligh Jacket and Ortles DST Jacket, which shielded us from the elements and kept us warm. There’s nothing quite like an early morning on the mountain getting your blood pumping and Salewa’s thoughtful tech definitely was the cherry on top.

Though we had an incredible time climbing Aspen Mountain, we needed to get back to work in a hurry. Luckily for us, our friends at Aspen Paragliding gave us a lift! After buckling our Piuma Helmets, one by one, we soared into the sky at 11,000 feet above our beautiful city. The adrenaline rush was incredible, and the flights were smooth, but the smile on our staff’s faces said it all.
Our morning adventure left us with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for Salewa’s gear. Whether hiking up challenging trails or soaring through the skies, their products exceeded our expectations and made the whole experience a delightful and exhilarating one.
